SLFA Secretariat, Freetown, 20 August 2025

The Transition Committee today announced the successful conclusion of its public sessions with the staff of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) and other key stakeholders in the football sector.

“Over the past two weeks, the Committee held open consultations with administrators, technical officials, procurement, finance and representatives from across government and the football community. We also visited the technical centre to assess progress,” said the Chairman of the Transition Committee, Dr. Isaac Massaquoi.

These engagements provided an opportunity to exchange ideas and gather valuable information that will inform the Committee’s final report.  Meanwhile, the Executive Committee has approved a one-week extension for the Transition Committee to complete its work, an additional time will allow the Committee to carefully consolidate feedback and ensure the preparation of a thorough and comprehensive report.

Dr. Massaquoi added that the final report would be submitted by the end of next week as part of the Committee’s mandate to support improved governance and the continued development of football in Sierra Leone.

Signed

Tanu Jalloh

Secretary SLFA
