For AYV Miss University… COMAHS Throws Unwavering Support for Sheknatu

Students as well as staff of the College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences (COMAHS), have thrown their unwavering support behind Sheknatu Isata Bangura as their candidate for the Africa Young Voices Miss University 2023.

AYV Miss University 2023 is slated for Friday 26th April, 2024 at Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko hotel in Freetown with the theme beauty for change: unity, dignity and entrepreneurship.

Sheknatu Isata Bangura is a current student of that institution and a one-time Big Sister Housemate. She secured the 1st Runner-Up position in the Miss COMAHS beauty pageant and also a visionary behind the Noodles Bar and the Doctors Corner.

One of the students of COMAHS, fifth year medicine student, Marie Koroma described Sheknatu as a dedicated student that has passion for what she is doing. She went on to say Sheknatu is putting so much effort that always turns out well for her.

“She is really committed and always work hard towards it. It will be nice for her to get more support from all works of lives,” she said.

Maria is calling on non-fans of Sheknatu to give her a try, “I know she will shock you in a very positive way. This is her passion and she is a multi-tasked person. Sheknatu remarkable adventure as will pave the way for a transformative legacy together,” she stated.

She went on to say there is no other candidate suitable enough to represent them except Sheknatu as she is a steadfast, focused and a highly versatile person.

Sheknatu Isata Bangura first break the news to represent her institution through social media and the institution’s page.

“I am thrilled to officially announce that I will be representing our esteemed institution, the College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences, at the AYV Miss University 2023.”

From the time she made that announcement on social media, Sheknatu called on her fans to support her bid as she is very confident that with her fans support, she will definitely emerge winner. Since she made that called her fans base have increase in and out of her institution as many believe in her and what she is capable of doing.

Sheknatu called her fans to continue their support toward this journey: “Your support for me in this incredible journey isn’t just a vote; it’s a pledge for progressive change. I am committed to being a dynamic ambassador for student representation, utilizing beauty as a catalyst for peace, unity dignity, and entrepreneurship.”

She added that “My aspiration is to actively engage in societal issues and to showcase that a queen embodies more intelligence and depth than outward appearances.”

She concluded by saying she firmly believe that she is the perfect candidate for these roles.
