We are writing to vehemently debunk and clarify the false statement circulating on social media, specifically a post by the Makoni Times News Sierra Leone on Facebook, falsely attributed to our General Overseer, Pastor Mambu. The post claims that Pastor Mambu has called for the closure of church activities and services on Sunday in Kenema due to “cultural values.”
This statement is entirely untrue and baseless. Pastor Mambu has not issued any statement suggesting or supporting the closure of Sunday services in Kenema District or anywhere else. The misinformation being spread is a deliberate attempt to mislead the public and create unnecessary confusion among our congregation and the wider community.
We urge the general public to disregard this false claim and treat it with the little or no esteem it deserves. Our church remains committed to its mission of spiritual guidance and community service.
