A moment when many muslims are contemplating where the next “Iftar” was going to come from, this apprehensiveness was replaced with sheer bliss for many Muslims in the villages from Gbendembu to Mama Beach. As part of his unprecedented charity during this month of Ramadan, Foundation Member of the All People’s Congress (APC), Hon. Dauda Jawara Mansaray has donated 30 bags of rice and cash incentives to Muslim congregants in Mosques that serve the afore-stated communities.
A household name inside the opposition APC, Hon. Dauda Mansaray’s affability and unrestrained affection for his constituents in the Western Rural District is an open book.
The New Jersey U.S based philanthropist’s gestures come on the heels when Muslims in those communities were in dire need of assistance to address the myriad of issues confronting them.
Upon receipt of the donations, the Imams and religious leaders blessed and offered prayers for Hon. Dauda Mansaray and his family for the aid which could not have come at a pivotal time than the month of Ramadan.
During the presentation of the donations, one of the Imams pointed out that the key objective of Hon. Dauda Mansaray’s support was that beneficiaries cut across political affiliations and tribal lines which, he said, is fundamental for a peaceful and harmonious in the communities in the Western Rural District.
As they collected the donations, each recipient prayed for Hon. Dauda Mansaray and showered praises on him for the remarkable gesture.
“What Hon. Jawara Dauda Mansaray has done for us is a clear demonstration of his love and affection for his people and God Almighty will never allow him to see shame in his life,” one of the proud beneficiaries at Gbendembu Village said, amidst tears.
This aid will help the less privileged, especially at a time like this when majority of Muslims are in dire need of help.
The following communities Goderich, Metchem, Adonkia, Angola Town, New Jersey, Kogbo, Ogoo Farm, Lakka, Hamilton, Mambo,, Mile 13, Bonga Farm, Sussex, Baw- Baw, Tokeh, York, Big Water, John Obey, Kent, Bureh among others have so far received their donations with other communities waiting in line for their presentation.
