Following the August 10th protest that led to the death of security personnel and civilians, Police in Sierra Leone have declared dozens of people they claimed are responsible for the death of security personnel and civilians.Amongst those on the Sierra Leone Police wanted list are Ibrahim Moro Bangura and his wife Mariama Bangura.
They have been declared wanted by the Sierra Leone Police following the violent protest and Demonstrations that took place on 10 August in part of the Western area, rural and urban north east and north west regions of Sierra Leone where four police officers were killed nationwide and several civilians killed and properties burnt down. The two are wanted for allegedly involving in what police described as violent demonstration.
Ibrahim Moro Bangura and Mariama Bangura are strong unknown Civil Society advocates working with large consortium of civic groups in the country called the People’s Power in Politics that led the demonstration during which many people were killed and properties worth billions of Leones perished. Since Ibrahim Moro Bangura and his wife, Mariama are rumoured to have left the shores of Sierra Leone there is no clue about their whereabouts.
