Interswitch, Africa’s leading integrated payments and digital commerce company has deepened its expansion beyond the shore of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has held its first breakfast session in Sierra Leone, Wednesday 30th November 2022 at the Sierra Palms Hotel, Aberdeen Freetown. The company’s arrival in the country is aimed focusing on boosting the continent’s digital payments ecosystem, through engagement with key stakeholders and partners in the financial sector.
The session tagged “Acceleration Growth and Profitability” leveraging Technology to win” providing key insights and explored robust opportunities for businesses in Sierra Leone.
At the session, topical issues were discussed and attendees were introduced to a variety of innovative products and proffered solutions targeting commercial banks, microfinance organizations, banks, Fintechs and other financial institutions.
Speaking at the session OlubunmiAina Group Head of Sales Payment Processing and Switching Interswitch Purepay said that businesses in Sierra Leone are set to enjoy seamless business operations, especially as pertaining to payment.

‘These products and solutions will allow customers such as financial institutions, banks fintches and microfinance banks to offer topnotch digital payments solutions to our customers.
He assured that with these products, businesses will enjoy enhancement opportunities and better customers’ experiences and that financial institutions will be able to rapidly integrate with newer payment channels with intuitive technology.
‘It is no longer news that deepened penetration of digital payment is helping to boast Africa’s economy. We are not resting on ours oars, but will continue to innovate solutions to further elevate Africa’s payments landscape as a whole,’ he assured.
