Coach Cole recalled that he signed a contract with the club two years ago with conditional agreement that had been breached by management.

He noted that Management had not been able to comply with the following:

  1. Accommodation for his stay;
  2. Irregular payment of monthly salary;
  3. Backlog of bonuses;
  4. Lack of team support to the players and insufficient training equipment
  5. Lack of team morale.

The above were his reasons of him to resign from the Diamond Stars football club. He furthered that with all those problems he had experienced in the club; there were no better conditions of service and no encouragement by some members of the management; he decided to take the decision to leave the club.

He thank the management of the club, players, and officers for the opportunity they gave to him to manage the Club and contributing towards the development of the players though he said things didn’t work out as expected.

‘I want to thank the management of the club, players as well as officers, for the opportunity given to me to help the players in their developmental strives although things didn’t work as expected, he said.

He added that he hope the management will provide him with all his outstanding salaries, bonuses and other benefits and he wished the club all the best in the ongoing Sierra Leone Premier League.

Diamond Stars are currently in the 14th position after 15 matches played so far. They have won 4 matches, draw 4 and lose 7 matches and they have 16 points in the ongoing Sierra Leone Premier League.

After their Head Coach had tendered his Resignation from the Club, Diamond Stars played their first match without Tito for more than a year and the lost by a goal to nil. Musa Bangura scored the only Goal at the Koidu City field in Kono for Old Edwardians in the Leone Rock Premier League match to earn his club all the 3points.
