Chief John Abu, is seeking support from members of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) as he contests for the position of Regional Organizing Secretary for the Southern Region — a role that requires discipline, dedication, grassroots connection, and a deep understanding of party values.
As a proud son of the South and a committed servant of the SLPP, he says he will bring leadership experience, traditional authority, and proven grassroots mobilization.
“I have worked alongside our people in the villages, towns, and chiefdoms — not only in times of victory but in moments of struggle when unity mattered most. Now, more than ever, we need strong, visionary, and inclusive organizing to energize our base, secure our strongholds, and expand our reach. We must prepare our structures at every level to ensure that SLPP remains the dominant political force in Sierra Leone. If given the mandate, I pledge to:
* Strengthen grassroots structures across all districts in the Southern Region
* Mobilize youth and women into active political participation and leadership
* Coordinate with district executives to ensure smooth operations and timely campaign strategies
* Ensure accountability, discipline, and transparency in party organizing.
He went further to state: “Let us rise together. Let us organize with purpose. Let us keep the green flag flying high in the South and across Sierra Leone!”
