As the Sierra Leone Premier League is gradually coming to an end, the only Premier League team from Kenema, Kamboi Eagles are facing serious relegations threat.
After they played their match day 33 against a strong and resilient Freetown City Council Football Club (FCC), and the match ended goalless, this result has seen more pressure mount on Kamboi Eagles for them not to be relegated from the Sierra Leone Premier League.

Many had seen this match as a most win for Kamboi Eagles considering they’re playing at home so that they would avoid relegations zone. But, it ended goalless.
After 33 matches in the Premier League, they have just managed to win 8, draw 11 matches, lost 14 and they have 35 points, the team is currently seating at the 15th position only with a goal different from the team in the 16th position that is in the relegations zone. Kamboi Eagles are just two points ahead of East End Tigers the team that is seated in the rock bottom of the table.
With just one game to go, what is the hope of Kamboi Eagles not to be relegated? This is the million Dollar question which many football fans have been asking. Because Kamboi Eagles final match is against East End Lions.
This match is crucial for Kamboi Eagles as they need a victory to remain in the league at all cost. So, it’s a most win for them. If they manage to secure a win, they will avoid relegation.
But, if Kamboi Eagles only draw and FC Johansen wins their match, Kamboi Eagles will still be relegated. Also, if Kamboi Eagles lose their match and Johansen only draws, Kamboi Eagles will be relegated.
The only thing that will help Kamboi Eagles to avoid relegation is if the teams in the bottom three lose their matches, and Kamboi Eagles lose theirs as well. In this scenario, Kamboi Eagles will stay in the league.
The final matches are the most interesting to watch this week. Which team will be relegated? Which team will stay in the League? All roads lead to the most anticipated final games in the Sierra Leone Premier League; which team to survive in the Premier League is the question that needs an answer. Because teams are fighting to maintain their positions in the league especially Kamboi Eagles the only Premier League team from Kenema.
