Kamboi Eagles makes it to the Sierra Leone top flight league

Kamboi Eagles from Kenema has made it’s to the Sierra Leone top flight league for the 2024/2025 season.

The relegated from the Sierra Leone Premier League in 2023, Kamboi Eagles have promoted back to the country’s top flight league for the 2024/25 league season.

Played their last league game of the 2022/23 Sierra Leone Premier League when they won 2-0 against East End Lions on the closing day of the league on the 23rd July 2023 at the Trade Centre playing field in Freetown.

Kamboi Eagles Football Club is a Sierra Leonean professional football club based in Kenema City, Eastern Region Sierra Leone. The club was founded in 1956 and plays its home matches at the Kenema City Stadium in Kenema. Kamboi Eagles currently plays in the country’s top tier league, the Sierra Leone Premier League.

‘The Eagles’ have an intense rivalry with the Diamond Stars of Kono and cross-regional rival Bo Rangers. Kamboi Eagles have only previously won the Sierra Leone FA Cup three times, in 1981,1985 and 2014.

Former player Alimu Koroma (System) is presently the club’s new Head Coach and has signed a two years Eastern Region based club after Francis Zappa Koroma announced his departure from the club to join East End Lions FC.
