Kenema City Hosts Inaugural Women’s Day Cup 2024: Celebrating Women in Football and Gender Equality. The inaugural “Women’s Day Cup 2024” is set to captivate football enthusiasts as Kenema City plays host to this exciting event from March 1st to March 8th, 2024. Organized by the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) in partnership with the Ram Kay Foundation, the tournament aims to celebrate the spirit of women in sports and commemorate International Women’s Day. With a focus on promoting gender equality and empowerment, the tournament provides a platform for female athletes to showcase their talent and passion for the beautiful game.

Participating in the tournament are Sierra Leone’s National Female U17 and U20 teams, alongside their counterparts from Liberia. This gathering of young talent promises fierce competition and thrilling matches as these teams vie for supremacy on the pitch. Beyond the scores, the Women’s Day Cup serves as a symbol of unity and solidarity, bringing together nations and people from all works of life through the universal language of football.
