Kholifa Stars, one of the newly promoted teams in the Sierra Leone Premier League has held a goalless draw with one of the giants in the Leone Rock Premier League Old Edwardian at the SLFA Academy Playing Field in Freetown.
The 2nd round match between Kholifa Stars and Old Edwardian was hosted by Old Edwardian and it was ended in a goalless Draw on Sunday 21 April 2024.
Old Edwardian failed to defeat Kholifa Stars FC at home even when Kholifa Stars defeated them 2:1 during the 1st round of the League at the Magburaka Town Field.
Both teams played well but failed to score a single goal that could have helped one of the teams to secure a Win with three (3) points.
Defender, Moses Salamy Conteh of Kholifa Stars Won Man of the Match for his outstanding performance especially in cementing the Defensive area of Kholifa Stars during the match.
This Award marks his 2nd in the ongoing league.
Despite the Draw Kholifa Stars remains at the bottom of the team after 23 games played with 18 points so far, whilst the draw gives a boost to Old Edwardian FC because they are now in the 5th position with 33 points after 22 games played.
