Kroo Town Road Community one of the leading communities when it comes to Community leagues has won the Central One Football Association (Cofa) league back-to-back.
Kroo Town Road defeated the Central Community in the Final of this year’s Cofa league in a post-game penalties held at the Parade Field on Saturday 9th March 2024.
This mouth-watering encounter between Central Community and the Kroo Town Road Community saw a lot of exciting football from the both teams where the match ended goalless in the 90 minutes of play and eventually Kroo Town Road Community emerged as the winner after one of Central player missed a spot kicked.
This victory from the Kroo Town Road Community saw them won the Cofa league for the second time in a row. And one of their talisman Musa Noah Kamara commonly known as Musa Tombo won the player of the tournament.
It could be recalled that Kroo Town Road Community won the last edition of Cofa league and they have done it again in this edition of the tournament. Their resilience from start to finish made them to be crowded for the second time in a row.
It could be recalled that this year’s Cofa league started last year in August and the competition was sponsored by Mohamed Gento Kamara a renounced sport man in the game and the competition was consist of 40 teams and One hundred million old Leone was distributed to the winner, runners up and the team that came third in the competition.
The winner went away with Fifty Million old Leone whilst the runners up take home 30 million old Leone and the third position take home 20 million with other individual awards that climax the Final ceremony.
Coach Musa Jalloh commonly known as Coach Yellow Man has now won the Inter Area Cofa Competition with Kroo Town Road Community back to back as head coach which is a mile stone achievement for him.
