Thirty-two years old Victor Kalokoh, a labourer has made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of the Pademba Road Court No.6 in Freetown on a count of Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on Saturday 8 July 2023 at No. 4 Kissy Road in the Western Area in Freetown did stole one cartoon Ginny Sarden, valued Six Hundred and Fifty New Leones (NLe650) and two bags of onions, valued at One Thousand Two Hundred New Leones (NLe1, 200), all to the total value of One Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty New Leones (NLe1, 850) property of Isatu Kamara.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused he pleaded guilty.
The prosecutor told the court that fact as charge but there is exhibit that needs to be tendered in court.
Meanwhile Magistrate Gogra refused bail and sent the accused to the Male Correctional Center in Freetown for the record and sentence. The matter was adjourned to the 26 July 2023 for further hearings Inspector Musu Edna Kpulun prosecute the matter.
