Baghdad (UNA/INA) – The 34th regular session of the Arab Summit officially kicked off today, Saturday, in the capital, Baghdad, in the presence of Arab leaders and heads of state, as well as the Secretaries-General of the United Nations, the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Gulf Cooperation Council, alongside dozens of guests from Arab countries, the European Union, and international organizations.

The Government Palace in Baghdad is hosting the 34th Arab Summit, where the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain, which chaired the previous summit, will deliver an address before handing over the presidency and the opening speech to Iraq, the host of the current session.

This will be followed by a speech from the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, then speeches from prominent guests, followed by speeches from presidents, kings, and princes, the leaders of the participating Arab countries.
