Luawa Football Club has announced that they have parted ways with their head coach, Sebastian Bowles, who had been in charge since the start of the Sierra Leone Premier League 2023/24 season.
According to Luawa FC Management, Coach Sebastian Bowles Departs on Mutual Consent.
A statement from the Club’s Management reads “Luawa Football Club wishes to inform its numerous fans and the football community that Coach Sebastian Bowles has left the club by mutual consent. Coach Seb, as he is affectionately known, has been with us for eight months and has made significant contributions to the club’s transformation during his tenure.
Unfortunately, due to safety concerns following an assault he experienced and despite all efforts to reassure his family of his security, Coach Seb and his family feel it is no longer safe for him to remain with the club. We want to express our gratitude to Coach Seb for his time with us and wish him the very best in his future endeavours. Coach Seb will always be a part of our history as we build a unique football development program in Sierra Leone.
Meanwhile, Coach Sillah, who was, until now, Assistant Coach, will take over the reign of the Club,” Meanwhile, the resignation came against the backdrop of Luawa FC condemnation of an alleged physical attack on Head Coach Sebastian Bowles by Abubakarr Tostao Kamara, the Head Coach of Real Republicans.
The club earlier calls upon the Premier League Board and the football association to thoroughly investigate the incident and take swift disciplinary action. The Coach has also been complaining of poor officiating in ongoing Premiere League by match officials
