Madam Baby Haja Jeng, an aspirant for the All People’s Congress USA Vice Chair position, has strongly reaffirmed her commitment to party unity and victory during a dinner hosted for members of the APC diaspora in the United States.
Speaking at the gathering held at the residence of Haja Konnie Yabai, Madam Jeng emphasized that the APC’s strength lies in its collective loyalty and shared purpose. The event brought together party supporters and stakeholders living abroad to reflect on the future of the party and the role of the diaspora in shaping national political outcomes.
In her address, Madam Baby Haja Jeng delivered a clear message of solidarity, stressing that personal ambitions must always give way to the greater interest of the party. She noted that the APC has a long tradition of standing together in times of challenge and opportunity.
To underscore her point, she remarked that even if the APC were to present a toaster as its flagbearer, party members would unite behind that candidate and ensure victory at State House in the 2028 general elections. The statement, though lighthearted in tone, drew applause from the audience and was widely interpreted as a firm declaration of discipline and loyalty within the party ranks.
Madam Jeng further assured attendees that APC members in the diaspora are fully prepared to support whoever emerges as the party’s flagbearer. She said supporters abroad remain committed to contributing resources, expertise and energy to the party’s campaign efforts.
According to her, the diaspora plays a critical role in mobilization, fundraising and advocacy, serving as a bridge between the party leadership at home and supporters overseas. She added that unity among members at all levels will be essential in reclaiming State House.
The aspirant also called on party members to respect internal democratic processes and to work collectively toward strengthening party structures. She urged APC supporters to remain focused on the broader goal of returning the party to national leadership.
Host of the event, Haja Konnie Yabai, thanked participants for their continued dedication and encouraged regular engagement among members of the diaspora. She described the dinner as an opportunity to reinforce unity and shared purpose.
The event ended on a note of optimism, with many attendees expressing confidence in the APC’s future. Madam Baby Haja Jeng’s remarks reinforced her image as a strong advocate for unity and discipline, as the party looks ahead to the 2028 elections.
