Regional Police Commander, South, AIG Brima Kanneh and a team of military personnel’s in the evening hours, Friday 9th June 2023 , arrested 25 years old Abdul Kargbo for personating the Republic of Sierra Leone Arm Forces (RSLAF).
The arrest was made along the Bo Kenema highway, opposite Bintish nightclub.
Abdul Kargbo said he is a resident of Jakema Street, Bo No.2, and a first-year student of Njala University/paramedical, pursuing a CHO course.
“I launder today for my brother who is a soldier but has traveled beyond Rutile, so only on this day i decided to use his uniform,” he said.
Military officers spotted Abdul Kargbo from a distance, and upon his notice tried to escape from the state security that eventually led to his arrest.
AIG Kanneh, this medium was told stands resolute that the suspect will be quickly investigated and arraign before the court of law.
He therefore warned all and sundry to refrain from the use of sensitive security materials, noting such materials are purely reserve for state security, especially so, when the law is no respecter of person.
The military wearing will be used as an exhibit while investigation will continue at the Regional Criminal Investigation Department.
