Following the interrupted power cut at the SLFA academic Field that led to the cancellation of the match between Might Blackpool vs Freetown City Council in the early second half of play, Might Blackpool has won the remaining 36th minutes by 1:0 against Freetown City FC.
Blackpool emerged victorious over Freetown City FC with a narrow 1-0 win. The match, which took place on Tuesday 23 April 2024 at the SLFA Football Academic, was temporarily halted in the 54th minute of play due to a technical malfunction of the floodlight generator.
After the interruption, the game resumed with the remaining 36 minutes played out, but neither team was able to alter the score-line. Before the match was postponed, Might Blackpool had earlier taken the lead in the first half and neither of the teams failed to score in the remaining minutes of play.
Despite the challenges faced during the match, Mighty Blackpool held on to their lead and secured a hard-fought victory over Freetown City FC.
After this victory, Might Blackpool are in the 11th position with 26 points after 22 games played so far whilst Freetown City FC are in 10th position with 27 points after 23 games played so far.
