The Ministry of Gender and Children’s Affairs officially welcomed the new Permanent Secretary, Ms. Aminata Sannoh, during a ceremony yesterday at the Ministry’s conference room. The outgoing Permanent Secretary, Mrs Zainab Kamara, who has served for five years, passed the baton in the presence of senior staff and ministry officials.
Key figures from the Ministry were present at the ceremony, including the Deputy Chief Director of Child Protection, Mr. Charles Vandy; the Deputy Secretary, Mr. Andrew Kamara; the Director of Children’s Affairs, Mrs. Joyce Kamara; the Director of Policy and Planning, Mr. Ibrahim Kamara; the Director of Gender, Ms. Goodie; and other senior officials, including Accountant Mr Francis Sesay and Budget Officer Mrs Carol Jamba. Mr. Andrew Kamara chaired the event.
In his remarks, Mr Charles Vandy commended Mrs Zainab Kamara’s achievements during her tenure, particularly highlighting her logistics and policy implementation work. He noted that her leadership significantly advanced the Ministry’s objectives and expressed optimism for the incoming Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Sannoh, to continue these efforts.
Deputy Minister Mr Hindowa Bindi also expressed his appreciation for the outgoing Permanent Secretary’s leadership, noting her effective management and ability to foster a collaborative working environment. He welcomed Mrs Sannoh and encouraged all staff to continue working together to achieve the Ministry’s goals.
In her introductory remarks, Mrs. Sannoh expressed her commitment to the Ministry and assured of her full cooperation and dedication to advancing its goals.
