The APC has so many influential people in Pujehun District, but the names that are well known among the grassroots.
: Alhaji Moijui Kaikai, and Sidi Yayah Tunis, former ministers of Social Welfare and Tourism respectively during former President Ernest Bai Koroma
From the video making the round on Whatsapp, it is evident Moijui Kaikai is no more a comrade, and he is gone back to his original root the green brigade
After the party lost power in 2018, so many beneficiaries from the South- East during the Koroma Presidency left the party and returned to the SLPP.
Prominent among them is Robbin Fallay, and now Alhaji Moijui Kaikai
The departure of Moijui should not come as a surprise because from the moment he wrote that letter suspending his membership could have served as an indicator or a red flag.
Pujehun might be one of the strongholds of the government; however, the party should not take it for granted, hence more effort would be needed to increase the voting percentage of the party in the upcoming election.
With Sidi Yayah Tunis as the last man standing, and the new face for pujehun, the party may increase its votes in the next year’s general elections.
A man with an unassuming personality, calm in his disposition, influential and strategic communicator, when one thinks about a result-oriented person- think Sidi Yayah Tunis, he came to prominence during the outbreak of the Ebola scourges in 2014.
As acting publicity secretary of the party, he lived up to expectations, and anytime he is on air, he understands how to capture the hearts and minds of his audience.
As one of the leading aspirants for the position of National Publicity Secretary, Sidi Tunis, could be the appropriate person for that position because of so many attributes that make him stand out
He knows how to fight adversity in a respectfully way, win a debate, he knows how to pitch stories, and maintain a positive image as a good communicator.
And he understands how to cultivate strong media connections and build strategies that can bring positive outcomes.
2023 elections will not be normal, and the party is up against a vicious opponent that has the resources, and the state security to affect the outcome
Against that background, the party needs an eloquent, influential, and strategic communicator that can identify trends in public opinion;
Sidi Yayah Tunis is the right man based on his track record as the lead communication point, man, during Ebola, and as acting NPS during the most difficult time of the party.
It is on record the SLPP government is scared of Sidi Tunis, hence the reason he was arrested on February 05, 2022, and locked up at the CID for a week because he spoke about level three (3) during an interview at 98.
Level three (3) is one of the party’s grassroots strategies to come back to power in 2023,
With Sidi Tunis as NPS, it is probably likely the party’s votes are going to increase in the Pujehun district and the entire South
Because the people will be thrilled that one of their own and the new face of their district is holding a strategic position
With a party that is considered a North-Western Party
