The wife of the opposition All People’s Congress (APC) leader and June 24, 2023, presidential candidate, Dr Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara, Mrs. Elizabeth Massah Kamara has last Thursday 13 April 2023 donated assorted food items worth millions of Leones to respective mosques in Pujehun district, for the performances of their eftas and modus. The event attracted Islamic scholars and members from Massankpaka its surrounding communities.
The Southern part of Sierra Leone is key and very important to the holistic growth and development of our nation. This is part of her humanitarian aid to reduce the hard knocks of poverty and starvation during the holy month of Ramadan. She also presented rice, money, etc. to Muslims in the district.
Receiving the gestures for an on behalf of the communities, Chief Imam, Pujehun District Central Mosque, Sheriff Jalloh expressed profound delight and thanked Mrs Kamara for her support to Muslims in the district.
Speaking on behalf of the people, Chief M.S. Rogers thanked Mrs Kamara for her significant role in the transformation of lives and reassured Mrs Kamara that the gifts provided will be utilized for the intended purpose.
He furthered that they have heard and seen the good works Madam Kamara in Freetown and other parts of the community helping the needy and other classes of challenged citizens.
The people of Pujehun district assured Mrs. Kamara of their total support for whatever ambitious project, and programme she wants to implement in Sierra Leone, and prayed for God’s provision and guidance for her in all her undertakings.
In her statement, Mrs. Elizabeth Massah Kamara thanked the people of Pujehun district for the cooperation and dedication they have shown over the years. Mrs Kamara said she is proud to be an indigene of one of Sierra Leone’s highly respected regions and districts.
Furthermore, she encouraged Southernas to collect their voter ID cards and prepare to vote in the 24th June 2023 presidential, parliamentary, Local Council, and Chairperson/Mayoral elections.
She continued, tribalism is a dangerous element to national peace and development, therefore, Sierra Leoneans must desist from such mentality. Let’s position our nation above our interests. She ended by wishing the Muslim community a blessed Ramadan.
Families, friends, and kids celebrated with Mrs. Elizabeth Massah Kamara and wished her the best of luck in her endeavors.
Mrs Kamara had made similar gestures to Muslims in other parts of the country including Freetown.
