In an interview with South Africa media KickOff.com, Musa Noah Kamara (Tombo) has said he was meant to travel to South Africa on July 14 to undergo medicals, but key stakeholders at his club & the Sierra Leone Football Association prevented the deal from happening.

  • “There are people who spoiled the deal for me,” Kamara told KickOff from Freetown, Sierra Leone.

“These people called Kaizer Chiefs and told them a lot of negative things about me, so they spoiled everything.

  • “These people include the chairman of the club (Bo Rangers) that I played for here in Sierra Leone and some at the FA who had my passport”.
  • “I was meant to go to South Africa for medicals and other stuff, but they refused to insist that I should go and play [for Sierra Leone) in the CHAN qualifier. They then called Kaizer Chiefs and said a lot of negative things which spoiled everything. Kaizer Chiefs bought me that ticket, but it has been cancelled now.
  • “I now have to wait for another opportunity.”

Musa Tombo insisted that he does not have any contract with Bo Rangers, and that he is free to join any club of his choice.

  • “These people don’t want me to go yet they won’t give me what I want. They will give me little money. Sierra Leone football has no money, so I need to move on. I now have my passport, so they won’t stop me from travelling again.
  • “Now, I haven’t received any news from them (Kaizer Chiefs) since they cancelled my flight,” added Kamara.
