The Chief Executive Officer of Native Consortium and Research Centre, Edmund Abu Jr. has said in Freetown that he will not relent in his advocacy drive to ask President Dr. Julius Maada Bio to reverse the decision of the removal of subsides from fuel price as well as other petroleum products.

He made the declaration of his continued firm commitment while addressing the media at his office in Freetown. Abu said his arrest has emboldened their position on the hike in fuel price from Le 6,000 to Le 8,000, vowing that he will not relent in his advocacy strides for the people, reiterating that they will continue to call on authorities including the President to bring the price of fuel where it has been.

Abu on Tuesday 17th, 2018 staged a peaceful protest calling on President Dr. Julius Maada to reverse his move on the removal of subsides, which has sky rocketed fuel products price from Le6,000 to Le 8,000, adding that they will maintain their stance on the issue.

It could be recalled that Edmund Abu Jr staged similar peaceful protests against the former government in 2015 and 2016.
