Obama, who is comfortably enjoying the support of party structures, young people and the grassroots at home and abroad, has served in so many capacities in the best interest of the APC party.
His unmatched contributions to the progress and development of the APC party has attracted the grassroot supporters across the district and beyond to have expressed unfettered desires and supports calling on the leadership of the party to give Kallah Musa Conteh the opportunity to run for the Kambia District Council Chairmanship.
He is the people’s choice and unwavering true son of the soil who hailed from noble families in Magbema and Samu Chiefdoms respectively in Kambia District. Kallay Musa Conteh’s paternal lineage hails from Kambia town in Magbema Chiefdom as a son of the Kallaymusaya Clan: a prominent Ruling House in Kambia Section. His Maternal lineage is from Rosinor town, in Samu Chiefdom, which gives him the advantage over other aspirants, as a gentleman whose background hailed from the two most prominent and populated chiefdoms in Kambia District. Kallay Musa Conteh also speaks the prominent languages in the district which makes him the master mixer of all classes of people in society in the district. He is easily marketable more than any other aspirants because he has no introduction in the two chiefdoms he hailed from the district. With Obama, it is a sure bet for the APC party to clinch the council chairmanship again in the 2023 poll and will serve in the interests of both the people and the party in the district.
He has all the marketable strategies on how the party will win the councilors seats including parliamentary in the district in June 24th 2023 elections.

Kallay Musa has a Master’s degree in Public Administration from London Graduate School. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern Languages from Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, Senegal.
Obama rose within the ranks of the APC party ranging far back in 1982 when he registered as an executive member of APC party Kambia District Branch.
He played a significant role in resuscitating the APC party activities in The Gambia, where he served as founder and Chairman of that APC The Gambia Chapter in the Diaspora.
He left The Gambia for the UK where he also joined the APC party membership in the UK and Northern Ireland branches in London between 2003 and 2006.
He later travelled to the United States of America (USA) and joined his comrades in the APC USA and Canada Branch where he served as secretary for the APC party Washington DC Chapter.
From 2006–2008, Kallay Musa Aka Obama served as Acting Secretary for APC North America Branch and Team Lead for rapid response and damage control during the 2007 Presidential and Parliamentary elections, when the Mighty APC party emerged victorious.
In January 2008 he was requested to coordinate the APC Diaspora Office at Party Headquarters on 11 Old Railway Line in Freetown.
He was later appointed as Director of Diaspora Engagement Directorate in the Office of the President at State House.
During this period he served the grassroots as Chairman of his constituency in Kambia Central (Constituency 060). He equally served as Propaganda Secretary for the Northern Region, Chairman of Constituency Chairmen in Kambia District between 2013 and 2017.
