As of today, Sierra Leone has recorded a total of 12 confirmed Mpox (Monkeypox) cases. This represents an increase of 4 new cases since the last report.
The cases are distributed as follows:
– Bo: 2 cases
– Bombali: 2 cases
– Moyamba: 1 case
– Port Loko: 1 case
– Tonkolili: 2 cases
– Western Rural: 2 cases
– Western Urban:2 cases
No recoveries or deaths have been reported at this time.
Public health officials are urging residents to remain vigilant and adhere to recommended preventive measures, including maintaining good hygiene practices, avoiding close contact with infected individuals, and promptly reporting any symptoms to health authorities.
