United Bank for Africa Sierra Leone (UBA-SL) has joined the global celebration of Customer Service Week 2025 under the inspiring theme “Mission Possible,” reaffirming its unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences and strengthening the relationship between the bank and its clients.

The week-long celebration, which began on Monday, October 6, 2025, is dedicated to appreciating customers for their trust, loyalty, and continued support, while also recognizing the invaluable role of UBA staff in upholding the bank’s service excellence culture.

Speaking during the commemoration, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of UBA Sierra Leone, Mohamed Alhajie Samura, expressed profound gratitude to customers across the country, emphasizing that they remain at the heart of every service and innovation at the bank.

“At UBA, we recognize that our customers are the reason we exist. Their loyalty and confidence continue to inspire us to do better every single day. This year’s theme, ‘Mission Possible,’ reminds us that with teamwork, innovation, and a customer-first attitude, delivering outstanding service is not only achievable but sustainable,” Mr. Samura said.

He added that the week provides an opportunity for the bank to reflect on its journey of excellence, celebrate its customers’ contributions, and recommit to providing modern, reliable, and people-centered financial solutions.

Throughout the week, UBA staff across all branches nationwide engaged customers in friendly interactions, giveaways, appreciation messages, and themed activities that highlighted the value of mutual respect and collaboration.

Customers who visited UBA branches during the celebration expressed delight at the warm hospitality and professionalism of the bank’s staff. Many shared that UBA has consistently demonstrated reliability, innovation, and genuine care for their financial needs.

Haja Kamara, a small business owner and long-time UBA customer, described the bank as a true partner in growth.

“UBA has been more than a bank to me. Their customer service is top-notch, and they always go the extra mile to support small businesses like mine. I am proud to be part of the UBA family,” she said with a smile.

Another customer, Mohamed Conteh, a civil servant, praised UBA’s digital transformation drive.

“What I appreciate most about UBA is how easy it is to access their services. From mobile banking to internet banking, they have made banking very convenient for everyone,” he said.

The bank’s staff also expressed joy in serving customers who have remained loyal over the years. Mariama Bangura, a customer service officer, noted that the week is not only a celebration of customers but also a reminder of UBA’s purpose.

“Every smile we bring to a customer’s face reminds us why we do what we do. It’s fulfilling to know that our service makes a difference,” she said.

As the celebrations continue, UBA Sierra Leone reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining excellence, integrity, and innovation in service delivery. The bank assured customers that it would continue to invest in technology and staff development to ensure a seamless banking experience.

The 2025 Customer Service Week at UBA Sierra Leone ultimately serves as a testament to the bank’s long-standing philosophy that great service is not a goal, but a daily mission made possible through passion, teamwork, and a deep commitment to customer satisfaction.
