Hon. Justice Alusine Sesay has announced that over thirty (30) criminal persons are up for trial on the ongoing September 2023 criminal session.
The judge made this remarks on Tuesday 19 September 2023 at the High Court No1 while making a roll call of accused persons who have committed various assigned to Judges for speedy trial.
According to Hon Justice Alusine Sesay, the assigned judges assigned for the criminal session include Hon. Justice A. Fisher, Hon Justice Monfred Sesay, and Hon Justice Unisa among others judges will be seating on the September 23 criminal session.
‘The Judiciary of Sierra Leone calendar stated that forty-three criminals accused persons are up for various trials with most of them have already spent a year in prison’.
According to the calendar, the accused persons where charged with store breaking and larceny, conspiracy and shop breaking and larceny, house breaking and larceny, robbery with violence, burglary, procuring commission of human trafficking, conspiracy to commit robbery with aggravation, house breaking and larceny, arson office breaking and larceny, larceny and fraudulent conversion, conspiracy to commit burglary and larceny, murder, manslaughter, conversion and sexual penetration are up to be trial by different judges.
