As enshrined in the preamble of our March 7th, 2022 Constitution, the APC was founded on the principles of inclusivity, equality, and justice for all citizens, regardless of background or creed.
It is incumbent upon us, as custodians of this noble legacy, to ensure that these principles are upheld through tangible actions, particularly in facilitating the registration and active participation of members, supporters, and sympathizers in shaping the future of our party and nation.
It is disheartening to note that since assuming office over a year ago, there has been a glaring absence of membership registration activities. This lapse not only undermines the democratic ethos of our party but also hampers our ability to expand and diversify our membership base, essential for our continued relevance and vibrancy.
Comrade, the urgency of this matter cannot be overstated. The timely commencement of membership registration is not just a procedural requirement but a moral imperative, essential for fostering a culture of inclusivity and transparency within our party ranks.
Furthermore, I urge you to prioritize the verification of existing party members to ensure the accuracy and authenticity of our membership database. The absence of a comprehensive party register poses significant risks, both legally and operationally, and must be addressed with utmost urgency.
As we chart the course forward, let us remain guided by the principles of integrity, accountability, and service to our nation. The mandate entrusted to us by the APC membership is a sacred trust, and it is incumbent upon us to fulfill it with diligence and dedication.
