Authorities at the Sierra Leone Police headquarters at George Street in Freetown last Friday 4th November 2022 dismissed a personnel of the SLP being caught on Thursday 3rd November in uniform on duty, under the influence of drug and alcohol. A statement issued on Friday 4th November from Media and Public Relations Department, SLP-HQ, informed that following the surfaced of the misconduct video on the social media, in which the defaulter who was under influenced drug and alcohol, was identified as a Police Constable 18654 Alie Sankoh, attached to the Kissy Police Division in the East of Freetown.
It furthered that the defaulter was administratively investigated by a Disciplinary Hearing and charged on five counts; ranging from ‘Being under the Influence of Drugs and Alcohol whilst on Duty’, ‘Conduct Prejudicial to Good Order and Discipline’, to which the defaulter pleaded guilty to all five counts.
PC 18654 Alie Sankoh has therefore last Friday 4th November 2022 been dismissed accordingly from the SLP in sync with the provisions of the Police Discipline Regulations, 2021.
