Police in Freetown have on Wednesday 15 June 2022 invited four Members of Parliament of the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC), following their participations in the bye-election campaign in Constituency 056 Bendugu Tonkolili district.
The opposition lawmakers who were late Wednesday 15 June 2022 evening called by the police to report at the Criminal Investigations Department headquarters in Freetown are; Hon Mohamed Bangura, Hon Abdul Kargbo, Hon Aron Koroma and Hon Tamemkor for attending and helping their party with campaign activities ahead of the bye-election in foresaid constituency.
The APC Interim Secretary General and Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Youth Affairs, representing Constituency 077, Port Loko District North-West, Hon. Abdul Kargbo, confirmed their invite by the police to report at the CID headquarters in Freetown through the Speaker of the House of Parliament.
He said that they are being called by the police for their participations at the bye-election campaign in Constituency 056 Tonkolili district.
Hon Kargbo said himself, Hon. Mohamed Bangura, Hon Aron Koroma and Hon Tamemko were on legitimate party functions as APC was scheduled to campaign on the day in question.
