Family sources at Fourah Bay community has revealed to this medium that a Police officer attached at the headquarters of the Criminal Investigations Department is alleged to have splashed a killer liquid charm on the late Hon. Sheriff Carew while the main opposition All People’s Congress former members of Parliament was held in cell detention at the CID.
“I was splashed with a cold liquid by one of the Police officer Lahai who bragged openly, we are going to deal with you people,” Hon. Carew told family members shortly after his release from detention at the CID before meeting his untimely death.
Another closed relative of the opposition politician furthered that Hon. Carew after his release explained to them that Police officers used series of intimidation methods on him and other detainees including the “killer” liquid he notice that was splashed on him by one officer Lahai.
The relative said they don’t know if that was the charm they used to kill their brother except God…only God knows what exactly killed Hon. Carew. “God knows the true cause of Hon. Carew’s death. We don’t know what or who killed him but the truths will one day revealed by the grace of Allah as for us out battle is left to God to fight for us,” she said.
Another family member who was speaking at the wake keeping of the late Hon. Carew said even after the illegal removal of the opposition from Parliament yet he could still not ignore responsibilities he owes his constituents, adding that he has always been around the people serving them with their basic social needs.
The bereaved family member continued; “Sheriffu will be always remembered and even after he was forced into opposition, yet he kept rendering helps to his communities by offering scholarships to less opportune school children, health and other social services.”
Meanwhile, before even tears could properly dry in the eyes of the family, desperate ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party constituents are presently busy looking for a likable candidate to replace the late Hon. Sheriff Carew.
However emerging reports mixed feelings from the Fourah Bay community are that the “people shall never forgive the killers of one of their sons.”
Up to the time of going to press the Sierra Leone Police Spokesman, Superintendent Brima Kamara contacted on +23277361070 on several occasions for the SLP’s side of the story but could not answer his call.
