Freetown – October 22, 2025: A joint police operation on Wednesday led to the arrest of four suspects and the seizure of suspected Kush during a raid at a known drug hideout in Calabatown, Freetown.
The early morning raid at Gravel Ground, Lower Sunday Street, was carried out by officers from the Regional and Kissy Operations Teams, acting on intelligence reports that the area had become a hub for drug trafficking and abuse.
Led by Superintendent John S. Koroma, the team demolished several makeshift structures believed to be used as drug dens. According to police, the suspects are assisting with ongoing investigations to trace their suppliers and wider drug network.
The operation forms part of the Regional Commander’s broader crackdown on illegal drug activity in the Freetown-East area.
