National Traffic Coordinator, Deputy Superintend of Police (DSP) Alimamy Koroma has disclosed that operation free flow will start soonest.
According to DSP, the operation will target Okada riders in the Central Business District, (CBD), unlicensed vehicles, street garages, abandon vehicles on streets.
Deputy Superintend revealed that petty traders engaged in street trading most times contribute to traffic and blocked road signs along streets.
“The right of way must always be clear to avoid accident in the capital and its environs, as law enforcement officers, we must go after those set of defaulters” Supt. Koroma said.
DSP Alimamy continued that they are currently embarking on public sensitization targeting Okada riders and petty traders in the habit of occupying the central business district for trading purposes.
When the operation commences, we will clap down heavily on those that refuse to obey the law.
He said the jointed operation, will comprise of traffic, city council officers, driver, motor bike and tricycle unions.
He encouraged all sectors concern of their usual cooperation and ensures that all always be in conformity with the law.
