The Sierra Leone Premier League is set to commence on Friday 3rd November 2023. This season competition is named as ‘LEONE ROCK PREMIER LEAGUE.’ The name came as a result of the $80,000 which the Leone Rock Metal Group-Sierra Leone sponsored the Premier League Board for the country’s top flight League.
This year’s Premier League Board (PLB) is headed by Chairman Victor Lewis with representation from the Old Edwardians FC, Bai Burreh Warriors FC and FC Kallon constituting the PLB.
The 18 teams set to compete for this year’s league tittle are: FC Kallon, Mighty Black Pool, Old Edwardians, Bai Burreh Warriors, Real Republicans, Port Authority FC, East End Lions, Wusu Stars, Lamboi FC, Bo Rangers, Kahunla Rangers FC, Bhantal FC, Diamond Stars, Kholifa Stars FC, Wiberforce Strikers, Freetown City FC, Freetownians Slifa etc.
The open ceremony for this year’s competition will be 3rd between Freetonians Slifa vs Diamond Stars at the Trade center in Freetown, whiles Real Republicans will lock horns with Luawa FC on the same day at Angola field Freetown.
