The Bank of Sierra Leone hereby informs the public that it has minted sufficient coins to service the economy. The denomination of coins in circulation are as follows: –

5 cents
10 cents
20 cents
50 cents
Members of the public are hereby advised to contact their commercial banks, community banks and other Microfinance Institutions to obtain coins over the counter.
Alternatively, members of the public can visit the Banking Hall of the Bank of Sierra Leone at Siaka Stevens Street, or its branch in Kenema on Thursdays between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 1.30p.m to exchange their banknotes for coins.
