Kabala, 16th December 2023: The attention of Team Marah was drawn late evening of Friday, 16th December 2023 to a report on WhatsApp headlined:”Hon. Lahai Marah attack at Mongo by Dr. Kaifala Marah thugs”. The statement alleged that his attackers wanted to kill him and that his vehicle was vandalized. The Team Marah Campaign wishes to disassociate Dr. Marah completely from the said incident and its intended purpose.
The report cannot be far away from a sheer campaign of calumny aimed at staining the untainted name and character of our popular APC Flagbearer Aspirant.
Dr. Marah was busy supporting the ITGC to smoothly conduct the registration exercise that will lead to the lower level elections in Koinadugu District, while Hon. Lahai Marah was busy mobilizing his rogue boys and thugs he had brought in from Freetown and Makeni to move into Mongo Town for reasons best known to him and his cohorts.
Dr. Marah is bound for Mongo Town tomorrow, Saturday, 17th December 2023 to declare his interest in running for the Flagbearer of the APC party in the 2023 Presidential Election, and it is no secret that Hon. Lahai’s surreptitious entry into Mongo Town was schemed and designed to undermine the expected huge turnout of supporters of Dr. Marah.
Dr. Marah’s move to use Falaba District and especially Mongo Town to launch is official declaration is born out of a genuine call by the people of the district.
Thousands of his supporters have already thronged into Mongo Town ahead of the scheduled meeting tomorrow, Saturday, 17th December instant.
Hon. Lahai, who has clearly identified himself as an opposer and critic of Dr. Marah has no serious political matter to handle in Mongo Town if not to go in to scheme a way to disrupt the mammoth welcome planned for Dr. Marah tomorrow.
“As far as we are concerned, Falaba District in particular is no battle ground between Dr. Marah and any other person. The love the people of Falaba District have for him is immeasurable and as far as the Marah Campaign Team is concerned, we are not in competition with any other Flagbearer Aspirant in the APC and as such it is NOT in our “agenda to disrupt the work of the 5-man Committee anywhere,” the Dr. Marah Campaign Media Team, stated.
The team added that Hon. Lahai’s penchant to demean Dr. Marah in Falaba District and within the APC with his spurious and sordid attacks against our aspiring candidate is evidenced everywhere on social media platforms, particularly the WhatsApp.
“For now, Dr. Marah’s eyes are on the ball and the style of play on the pitch and not Shenanigans,” the media team concluded.
