Managing Director, United Bank for Africa SL and Managing Director, First Bank SL
At an Extraordinary General Meeting, held on Tuesday February 4th, 2025, Members of the Board of Directors of Sierra Leone Association of Commercial Banks Ltd, confirmed Mr. Mohammed A. Samoura Managing Director, United Bank for Africa SL as President and Chairman of the Board and elected Mr. Udeme Udoh, Managing Director, First Bank SL, Vice President and Deputy Chairman.
Sierra Leone Association of Commercial Banks (SLACB) is a non-profit incorporated Association, that provides a forum for member banks to work together on a co-operative basis. It is funded by member banks through subscriptions and membership is open to any bank registered under the Banking Act, 2019.
There are currently thirteen registered banks to include; Sierra Leone Commercial Bank, Rokel Commercial Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank, SL, First Bank, SL, Bloom Bank for Africa, Bank, SL, United Bank for Africa, SL, Union Trust Bank, Vista Bank SL, Zenith Bank, SL, Ecobank, SL, Sky Bank, SL, Access Bank, SL and Commerce and Mortgage Bank, PLC SL.
The Board is the governing body of the Association, and it comprises the Managing Director of each member bank. The operations of the Association are conducted at a Secretariat located at the 6th Floor Suites of 35A Lightfoot Boston Street. Ms. Shola Taylor-Pearce serves as Head of Secretariat.
