Qcell, one of the fastest growing telecommunications companies in Sierra Leone, has distributed Ramadan Iftar food items to various mosques across the country as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.

The distribution exercise forms part of Qcell’s commitment to promoting faith, unity, and compassion during the holy month of Ramadan, a period when Muslims around the world observe fasting, prayer, and charity.

During the distribution, members of the Qcell marketing team informed worshippers that the company remains deeply committed to supporting its subscribers and communities. They emphasized that as a responsible telecommunications company, Qcell always keeps the welfare of its customers at heart.

According to the team, the initiative to distribute food items to different mosques across Sierra Leone is intended to support Muslim faithful who gather daily to break their fast during Ramadan.

“We believe Ramadan is a time of sharing, compassion, and togetherness. As a company that serves the people of Sierra Leone, we felt it necessary to reach out to various mosques with food items that will assist worshippers during Iftar,” the team stated.

They further noted that since the commencement of Qcell’s operations in Sierra Leone, the company has continued to receive tremendous support from the people of the country, which has contributed to its growth and success.

“We are grateful for the love and support you have shown us over the years. To show our appreciation, we have embarked on this distribution of food items to mosques as our own way of giving back to the community,” they added.

Receiving the items, worshippers across different mosques commended Qcell for the thoughtful gesture, describing the donation as both timely and meaningful during the sacred month of Ramadan.

They expressed appreciation to the company for remembering the Muslim community during such an important period, noting that the food items will greatly assist worshippers as they gather to break their fast at sunset.

“We thank Qcell for this kind gesture. The items will help provide meals for worshippers during Iftar. As you have remembered us during this holy month, we pray that Almighty Allah continues to bless, protect, and guide the company and its staff,” the worshippers said.

The initiative has been widely viewed as a demonstration of Qcell’s dedication not only to providing telecommunications services but also to strengthening community ties and supporting humanitarian causes across Sierra Leone.
