Rokel Commercial Bank –RCBank has received four students from the Canadian College of Modern Technology Sierra Leone-CCMT-SL for the facilitation of their internships through a partnership between the bank and the college.
Under the partnership, RCBank has accommodated CCMT-SL’s upper year Computer Science students to work at the bank’s Information Technology Department, where they are expected to received training, assist the bank in developing new software and manage its IT infrastructure with top performing students receiving job offers.
Principal CCMT-SL, Jacob S. Conteh said internships are vital part of students’ education, allowing them to not only radicalize education gain but also gain real working experience while doing so.
He said CCMT-SL is very proud of its Computer Science students’ strong skills and are thankful to RCBank for providing the opportunity and change to contribute to national development before graduation.
The partnership highlights CCMT-SL’s commitment to ensuring that its students have the knowledge to pass tests and have the skills and competencies to perform in the corporate world and as entrepreneurs.
