In a move to continue to study and implement advanced water systems and processes around the globe, the leadership of the Sierra Leone Water Company (SALWACO) headed by Managing Director, Ing. George Lamin Vandi has continued with benchmarking exercises in Ghana, West Africa.
The process which was carried out at the Ghana Water Company Limited was specifically focused on smart metering technologies and water bottling businesses. Insightful presentations were done by both companies to better understand operational merits and ways to enhance strategic institutional implementation. Further discussions were also held on how to improve on commercialization and marketing strategies which is closely in line with the recently concluded SALWACO retreat theme on Revenue Generation for Sustainable Development.
MD Vandi was accompanied by SALWACO’S Director of Project Management, Ing. Yankuba Tarawally, Marketing Manager, Mohamed Aziz Waggay and the Company’s Station Manager – Bo, Ing. Osman Turay.
