Leading flag bearer aspirant of the main opposition All People’s Congress APC Dr Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara has said at a meeting in Freetown that his government will enhance political when he shall become president of the country come June 2023.
He said when APC shall have assumed office they won’t behave like school boy or political toddlers but to go to work straight as they already have wealth of governance experience because time is not of the side of Sierra Leone.
Dr Samura Kamara his administration will be enhancing political stability by laying the basis for good governance and allowing critical institutions sufficient leverage to deliver on their mandates.
He promised that his government will focus on significant milestone in the areas of gender equality, women’s empowerment and youth employment, adding that business, trade commerce and investment friendly environment will be created for giant private sector operations in the national economy. Dr Samura Kamara said his government will provide a resilient health system that will be capable enough to respond any emerging health issues.
He said government under his leadership as president will work hard to ensure that the national economy is completely diversified with a focus on agriculture, fisheries, tourism, and the manufacturing industries, with premium investment in education and health. He said declaring: “Economic potential remains enormous.” Let’s give him the chance to recalibrate our already battered economy.
Dr Samura Kamara said that the APC is not an ingrate party but a family political union that care for everybody, and prayed that whoever means bad for the APC will be exposed by the grace of God. He encouraged all to remain resilient and participate in all electioneering processes starting from the registration to the day of voting, adding that the APC government won’t behave like them as what they inherited were criticized and condemned but they cannot deliver anything in the last five years. We won’t behave like them, he vowed.
