In a hearing conducted by the joint committee of Transport and Aviation and Labour, on Thursday 7th March 2024, Sea coach Express Company represented by the General Manager, Mr. Ken Tackie, together with the Human Resource Manager, were indicated for misappropriation of funds and corruption by the joint committee. The committee found so many irregularities in the document submitted to the committee. There were issues such as misappropriation of funds and corruption.
The company was alleged to have awarded contracts that do not match with what is in the contract paper. The committee picked up a very sensitive and important issue where one staff is being paid Le600 and has on his contact paper Le1,750.
According to the document submitted, from 2021/2024, there are decrease in staff for which the Sea coach Express team where unable to explain to the committee the reason why that is happening.
