Freetown, Sierra Leone,Ibrahim Jalloh a 37-year-old security guard, Monday, 2nd December 2024, made his appearance before Magistrate Santigie Bangura of Pademba Road Court No.2 on a count charge of Office Breaking and Larceny – Contrary to Section 26 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence, Monday 11th of November 2024 at Scadep Office at No.1 Sean Drive- Freetown in the Western Area of the Republic of Sierra Leone with intent to steal, break and entered into the office of Scadep and stole therein seven (7) Conference Chairs each valued at Eight Thousand Five Hundred Leones (Le 8,500) all to the total value of Fifty-Nine Thousand Five Hundred Leones (Le 59,000), property of Scadep Company whilst in the custody of Usif Rahman Sesay. When the charge was read and explained to the accused person, no plea was given.
The state prosecutor, Sergeant 8811 Wilson, sought for a short adjournment date because her witness was not present. The accused person was not legally represented.
Meanwhile, magistrate Bangura refused bail and sent the accused person to remand, based on the nature of the offence.
However, the case has been adjourned to the 10th of December 2024, for further proceedings.
