Mbaimba Ndomahina, who is on an official assignment, requested that the Embassy received the delegation in their home away from home (Embassy) and, according to him, every training course that was geared towards capacitating Sierra Leone’s human resources should be embraced and celebrated on the background that it was President Bio’s vision.
Welcoming the delegation to the Embassy, the Deputy Ambassador/Charge d’Affaires, Saffa Woya Rogers, encouraged the team to make good use of the opportunity and take to Sierra Leone the good values and impact change.
He called on them to be patriotic, stating that it was the backbone of the development of China. He encouraged them to be committed to their job, pointing out that it was another important value of the Chinese as that is what is pushing the country forward.
Members of the delegation expressed delight that their Embassy organized a welcome ceremony for them. They pledged to reproduce whatever knowledge they would acquire from China in Sierra Leone to contribute to the industrialization of Sierra Leone.
The ceremony coincided with the presentation of the newly-elected Students’ Union Executive to the Embassy after the just concluded election.
The ceremony climaxed with social interaction, both students and the delegation members were brought together to interact in a Sierra Leone cultural way.
