The leader of the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) in Parliament, Honourable Abdul Kargbo has in a press conference informed party members and by extension the public that the Bio led administration is driving the country towards ‘disaster’.
He made this statement in a press conference on Wednesday 29 May 2024 held at the APC party national headquarters on 11A Old Railway Line, Brookfield in Freetown.
According to Hon. Kargbo, this current dispensation is driving the country towards ‘disaster’ and that is why they can’t sit and watch this government doing things that is not normal.
He added that the APC party is a government in waiting and that they can’t be silenced to inherit a broken country that is why the APC as an opposition is putting the government on their toes to prevent inheriting a broken governance system.

He continued that the Bio led administration are just prioritizing their interests over the welfare of the citizens of the country, adding that the country is facing economic hardship but the president is not bother to settle this crisis.
He expressed strong concerned about the country’s economy describing it as a dying economy.
“The hardship in the country is very alarming and this government don’t have planned to resolve the economic quagmire,” he stated.
He admitted that the statement made by the president is uncalled for and warned that the president statement is tantamount to incite chaos and instability in the country.
“The President’s statement made in Bo is unfortunate and is uncalled for and his statement is tantamount to incite chaos and instability in the country,” he admitted.
He called on everybody to patiently wait for the outcome of the Tripartite Committee and also the party National Secretary General; Lansana Dumbuya urged party members and the public to refrain from discussing the possibility of a re-run election in the country.
Mr Dumbuya, noting that the outcome should be determined by the Tripartite Committee’s engagement and it recommendations.
