Sierra Leone National Female teams have been brilliant in the ongoing RamKay/SLFA Female Tournament Women’s Day Cup in Kenema. In the opening match in Kenema, the Sierra Leone under 17 women’s team defeated their Liberian counterpart by 2-1 in an entertaining match of the Ram K/SLFA Female Tournament in Kenema. There were lots of excitements before the match and spectators saw beautiful football from the girls.
Adama Mansaray opened the scoring for the Sierra Leone U-17 National Female team in the 12 minutes which gave the team more believe in the tournament and Adama Kamara doubles their lead in the 25 minutes of play. But, with the resilience from the Liberians side they came very strong in the second half and pull one in the 66 minutes a goal scored by Lewis Brown. Both team made a lot of appearances but the match later ended 2-1 in favour of the Sierra Leone National Female U-17.
In Match day 2 on the RamKay/SLFA Female Tournament Women’s Day Cup in Kenema, Sierra Leone National Female U-20 luck horns with the Liberia National U-20 Female side at the Kenema Field.
After the victory of the U-17 National Female teams, the Sierra Leone National Female U-20 also had their first victory in the tournament. Sierra Queens won their first game of the Women’s Day Cup, securing a thrilling 2-1 victory against Liberia National Female U-20 team. The team’s resilience and skill were on full display, setting a strong tone for their opponent. Kumba Z. Brima was exceptional throughout the match where he scored two good goals that helps the team to get all three points.
After a sounding victory in their first match, Sierra Leone National Female U17’s team geared up for their second match against Liberia and the
Female U17’s team showed great determination in a 1-1 draw against Liberia, maintaining their unbeaten streak in the tournament after they had lost by a goal to nil in the first half of play. They came well prepared and got their equalizer in the 80 minutes a goal scored by Fatmata Turay.
After their first win, the Sierra Leone National Female U-20 commonly known as Sierra Queens are ready to take on Liberia in their second match of the Women’s Day Cup in Kenema and at the end of the match, they clinched another impressive victory against Liberia in the Women’s Day Cup in Kenema! With wins in both their first two matches, the team is showcasing incredible skill and determinations in the tournament.
Both the U-17 National Female teams and the U-20 female team are seriously taking the Sierra Leone flag into another level and they’re keeping the pace and determinations to win more matches in the ongoing tournament in Kenema.
Moreover, Sierra Leone U-17 Female team are in full gear for another crunching match against Liberia in match day three in the ongoing Women’s Day Cup in Kenema City organized by RamKay.
Having shown resilience in their last match and secured a valuable point through Fatmata Turay’s late goal, they are looking to build on that performance and strive for a positive result in their next fixture in Kenema. All roads leading to the Kenema City Field to witness beautiful female football in the country.
