Following their back-to-back draw with the Liberia National U-20 team, the Sierra Leone National U-20 team commonly known as Shooting Stars has gotten their first win in the Zonal Tournament in Liberia.

This all important encounter between Liberia National U-20 and Sierra Leone National U-20 took place on Friday 23th February 2024, at the Samuel K. Doe Stadium in Liberia.After shooting Stars back-to-back draw with their counterpart, there were lots of anticipation going into the match and both teams were in high gears to securing the three points. Going into the first half, there were a lot of chances created by the two teams but nothing to show for it at the end of the first half and it ended goalless.

Both coaches change their formations going into the second half just so to secure all three points. But, the formation of the Sierra Leone National U-20 Head Coach worked very well when he brought in a talented player from Port Authority by the name of Adjust Kamara. Adjust Kamara outstanding finish in the 90 minutes of the toppish-time had led the Sierra Leone National U20 (Shooting Stars) enjoyed their first win in the ongoing Zonal U20 Tournament against their Liberian counterparts in Liberia.

His only goal created the difference for Sierra Leone, helping his team to edge Liberia by 1 nil in a never to be forgotten encounter between Leon Stars from Liberia and the Shooting Stars from Sierra Leone.

Kamara’s performance since he was introduced in the match led many to see him as one of the most relented young players that Sierra Leoneans could be proud of in the U-20 squad. His impact on the game has been notable, as evidenced by his ability to create instant impact with his dribbling and mobility skills, which helped his perfect finish from a brilliant assist from Mohamed Bai Kamara.

His development as a player is evident in his ability to make meaningful contributions to the team’s success, and his performance has earned him recognition, including the man of the match award.

Meanwhile, Shooting Stars are now with five points out of three matches played with two goals and one conceded. Shooting Stars final match is scheduled for Sunday 25th February, 2024, at the Samuel K. Doe Stadium.

Fans are highly enthusiastic to witness the final but most important match for the Shooting Stars of Sierra Leone and Forum Sport is wishing them well out there in their encounter.
