The Sierra Leone Ports Authority yesterday boycotted the usual budget discussion at the Ministry of Finance.
The Ministry of Finance was left with disappointments when they realised that members from the Sierra Leone Ports Authority boycotted the budget discussion with no good reason.
Non-state actors and CSO members from the media expressed dissatisfaction over the way and manner they were treated by members of the Ports Authority.
Stakeholders were very annoyed when they were informed that the Authority was not given a notification and that they were not aware of the date for them to do their submission with serous dissatisfaction from staff of the Ministry of Finance who forwarded their wage book to them and it was then that they came to realize that it was with the General Manager and it was not communicated to them.
According to them, it was time for Sierra Leoneans to take government activities seriously rather than engaging in politics
