The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs has welcomed Hundreds of international adventurers who have arrived in the country as Sierra Leone officially received the second batch of participants in the Budapest-Bamako-Freetown Rally. The event underscores growing momentum in national tourism and cultural exchange efforts.
Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, through its agencies, hosted the reception ceremony at scenic Lumley Beach. Director of Tourism Mohamed Jalloh expressed satisfaction with the successful arrival. “These adventurers have traveled over nine thousand miles to reach Sierra Leone,” he said. “We welcome them to beautiful Lumley Beach today.”
The visitors enjoyed cultural immersion the previous evening at Bureh Beach. “They experienced colorful entertainment last night and arrived here safely without incidents,” Mr. Jalloh confirmed.
Hosting such international gatherings brings substantial economic and social benefits. More than five hundred participants will spend money locally, occupy accommodations, and create opportunities for Sierra Leoneans. High-quality vehicles and motorcycles have also arrived, contributing to the local economy.
“Social and cultural interaction between visitors and our people proves invaluable,” the Director emphasized. “Sierra Leoneans working together with international guests on our beautiful beaches represents exactly the engagement we wish to encourage.”
